From an idea in Cantabria to environments worldwide

We were born from the uncertainty of two recent graduates. In 2018 we founded Siali Technologies in Cantabria, without yet knowing clearly what the market truly needed. A year earlier, in 2017, we had embarked on Edimot, an educational robotics kit project that earned us the Yuzz Cantabria Award. That first experience allowed us to start building what Siali is today: a technology company developing artificial intelligence solutions based on real needs.

From the beginning, we knew we wanted to work hand in hand with companies and get to know the industry from the inside. For us, this has always been essential: real needs aren't discovered from an office, but right where things happen, where problems arise, and where solutions are tested.

In 2020, the pandemic changed how we understood what artificial intelligence could offer. The need to monitor mask wearing, social distancing, and compliance with health measures led us to explore how to use computer vision to detect risk situations through cameras. That was the starting point of an idea that would eventually become Safe.

What started as a response to a specific need evolved into a much broader goal: using artificial intelligence to anticipate risks and improve safety for people in their workplaces. We realized that this same technology could help companies detect hazardous situations, verify the use of personal protective equipment, identify unauthorized access to restricted areas, or prevent accidents involving vehicles and machinery.

That is how Safe, was born, not as a product designed from a theoretical idea, but as the evolution of a need we experienced firsthand. We transferred what we learned during the pandemic to the field of occupational health and safety, with a clear premise: leverage existing facility cameras to identify risks in real time and help companies act before an accident occurs.

Since then, Safe has evolved to address various safety needs in sectors such as manufacturing, logistics, construction, and port environments. The underlying technology remains the same in essence, but its purpose has grown: moving from detecting compliance violations of a single rule to providing a tool that helps companies build safer workplaces.

Because, at heart, our way of working has not changed since the early days of Siali: we start from real problems, work alongside companies, and develop technology to solve them. Safe is the outcome of that approach to innovation: a solution born in a time of uncertainty that now works to prevent risks and protect people.
